About Me

Darren Frost, Managing Director of Suffolk Doors and Windows Ltd

I have a wealth of experience and I care!

I personally have over 20 years of experience having previously worked for a leading and highly reputable local double glazing company.

From trainee to site supervisor, I have travelled country wide fitting uPVC double glazing on new build estates and private home improvements.

In that time I must have come across, and solved, every imaginable situation.  I personally work by my motto of "Assess, Adapt and overcome".

I have extremely high standards of work, a close attention to detail and always look to put the customer at ease.

I demand exactly the same high standards off all of my specialist fitters at all times.

Combined with having built up some great business relationships within the industry and the advantage of still being very hands on with all aspects of the business, I am able to offer all our customers a very personalised service specifically suited to your needs, at a great price which you can afford.

History Of Suffolk Doors And Windows

It hasn't always been about double glazing!

In 1991, at the age of 9, I was signed by Ipswich Town FC in their youth academy.  For the next 10 years of my life (and my poor families life) it was dedicated to football, up and down the country, even abroad, playing football against every team imaginable.
At the age of 16, like so many others, I was released from Ipswich Town FC and had to go out and find a job in the real world.
I had never considered anything else, but at least I came armed with an attitude of dedication, discipline, perpetual improvement and of being driven to achieve perfection.

I started working for a large local double glazing company in Sudbury, rapidly progressing through different roles becoming the site supervisor, which at the time suited me perfectly.  I enjoyed the variety of work and solving any unusual situations which came up.  This was a great education for me, but eventually I decided to go it alone.

I now run Suffolk Doors and Windows Ltd and am kept extremely busy coordinating all aspects of the business.  I utilise my experience and diverse skill set,  to monitoring all ongoing and upcoming projects, demanding that our standards remain at the highest levels, pre-empting and solving any issues before they arise and importantly ensuring that all customers are informed and completely satisfied with every aspect of our work.

I am also involved with sales, advice, quoting potential customers and occasionally, when needed, getting the tools out to help my team of skilled fitters installing doors, windows and roofline water systems throughout Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex and beyond, to both domestic and trade customers.

I enjoy the variety of my work, meeting new people and the satisfaction I get when I've completed a job and the reaction I receive from the customer having surpassed their expectations.

As the business became more and more successful, I created our sister company; Suffolk Roofline Ltd.  This enabled my skilled fitters to specialise in a specific area of our industry, ensuring standards always remain the best in our field and that we can always offer the best possible experience to our customers.  For more information please visit www.suffolkroofline.co.uk.

In case you wondered, I haven't totally left football behind.  I'm now lucky enough to be able to coach the two football teams my sons play for at Great Cornard, and proudly sponsor my eldest boys team. So now it's my turn to drive my two sons around, as they embark on their own footballing adventures.

I look forward to hearing from you very soon!

Time to give a little back to the community which has been so supportive of me.

Through either Suffolk Doors and Windows Ltd or it's sister company Suffolk Roofline Ltd, I have tried to give something back to a community which has supported me on my personal journey.

GRASS ROOTS FOOTBALL - I feel privileged to be able to sponsor and coach a local football team, at Cornard Dynamos, and also help with coaching at the same club, but with another age group.

BACK TO NORMAL, POST COVID-19 - Following the Covid-19 lockdown, Maxim Sports Coaching were running free local training sessions to get children back out there, getting fit and enjoying team sports again, so I supplied them with 180 footballs to give to the children.

HELPING OUR FUTURE - We have also been contributing towards supporting Thomas Gainsborough School in Great Cornard.

These are small contributions, but I enjoy being able to help the young local community in some way and will continue to keep doing so!
